Solskjaer Will Be Sacked If United Lose To Tottenham And Man City?
Manchester United under the helm of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has simply not looked the part of the former glory that the player-turned-gaffer initially promised in his early days in charge of the outfit.
The transition period is clearly taking its toll on the Premier League club who are now significantly closer to the relegation zone than to making a serious charge at the coveted top four spots.
Their recent results have ensured that the Norwegian gaffer’s job may be at risk, despite reports that the club would back him up.
Now, an alleged source doesn’t paint a rosy fixture for the week ahead.
The Sun quoted an Old Trafford source to have stated: “Ole was a little bit emotional and told them [the players] that if they don’t get two results this week, he could be gone. It is the worst time to be facing Spurs with Jose coming back.”
The back-to-back fatigue-prone games against Tottenham Hotspur and Man City are bound to test the resolve of the players.

While Spurs will be a danger due to Jose Mourinho’s resurgent spirit, Manchester City will be adamant to get every possible point in their title race against Liverpool and won’t be eager to lose to their local rivals.
The source adds: “Ole told the players all his and their focus now has to go straight to the Spurs game. He was not being critical of Jose in any way but made it clear to the players just how much their old boss will want to win.”
Incidentally, Solskjaer himself stated the following during his most recent press conference: “Four days, that’s not going to change a whole lot. Of course, these two games are great chances for us to prove things and prove to ourselves that we can continue in the vein we’ve had against some of the better sides.”
