In a surprising turn of events, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is purportedly willing to materialize a transfer to Everton if the Premier League side appoints Carlo Ancelotti as their next manager, as per the Telegraph.

With the Italian gaffer set to reign the English club, the official announcement is imminent. The 60-year-old, a big coaching name, enjoyed triumphs together with Zlatan at Paris Saint Germain, even winning the Ligue 1 title back in 2013. Moreover, the idea of a sensational reunion of the pair at Everton is certainly an appealing news to the supporters.

The Swedish has left LA Galaxy towards the end of November. Much owing to the legacy he leaves behind in every single club he plays for, a few Italian sides had started eyeing the fierce striker.

The 38-year-old is now a free agent, available up for the grabs in January window. Despite the speculations of interest portrayed by Napoli and AC Milan, and rumors of links with Manchester United, Everton are now leading the chase for the Sweden international.

Nevertheless, it’s still uncertain as to whether Zlatan will still be able to muddle through with the physical demands of the English league. However, if the ex-Juventus attacker joins the Merseyside, fans expect him to help out Moise Kean who has been struggling to stabilise his foot ever since his move from Juventus for £25 million.

The Blues, however will reportedly have their caretaker manager Duncan Ferguson on the sidelines for their match against Arsenal.
