Sir Alex Was So Humiliated During Manchester Derby That He Went To His Office At Half-Time
Manchester United’s dreadful mid-week performance against Man City had Sir Alex Ferguson beyond frustrated.
The Red Devils hosted their bitter rivals this week at the Old Trafford for the first leg of their EFL Cup semi-final tie.
The visitors demolished United by putting 3 goals past them during the first half. And though the hosts managed to hold City back in the second half and get a goal back, they failed to take control of the game.
Ultimately, the game ended at 1-3 in favour of the Skyblues, disappointing many.

One person who was really disappointed was former boss Sir Alex Ferguson, who was among the Old Trafford crowd on the night.
According to the Daily Record, the Scott could not hold back his frustration and proceeded to head to his office and poured himself a glass of red wine to calm his nerves.
A club source revealed: “The directors lounge wasn’t a good place to be at half-time from a United point of view.

“All Sir Alex wanted to do was go straight to his office. He couldn’t face anyone and was determined to be somewhere else, while Mr Woodward just had his head in his hands.”
It truly has been a very rough time for the Mancunians since their legendary boss stepped down. Sir Alex clearly shares the same anger and disappointment the United supporters feel.
The Old Trafford outfit now need to make sure to score at least score 3 past their local rivals in order to progress through to the next stage of the Cup tie. But with 3 away goals to their name, Pep Guardiola’s side may have already sealed the tie unless Ole Gunnar Solskjaer manages to pull off a miracle.
