Bruno Fernandes Silences Pep Guardiola With Finger Gesture During Touchline Row

Manchester United emerged victorious out of a fiercely fought Manchester derby, with a 2-0 scoreline highlighting the low that Manchester City experienced at Old Trafford.

The League double over the reigning Premier League champions was engineered through a Bruno Fernandes freekick that was deftly passed on to Anthony Martial who had luck and Ederson’s flaws on his side to make it 1-0.

Incidentally, during those crucial minutes, an intriguing exchange could be observed on the touchline.

Bruno Fernandes and Pep Guardiola appeared to have gotten into a spar of sorts over a throw-in issue during the final minutes of the game. As the City manager exchanged words, Fernandes simply raised his finger to shush Guardiola. Moments later, United had the game in the bag.

This gesture from the Portuguese international has gone incredibly well amongst United supporters who have taken it as further proof that Fernandes has the club’s DNA in him thoroughly.

The silencing of Guardiola is certainly apt given the plight of his club at the moment. The two-season UEFA competitions ban is yet to be unveiled in its full scope of punishment although it already looks awful for City who by now have assuredly lost their title to Liverpool.

In fact, if their bad woes continue for two more games and further defeats are made, then the Merseyside club can claim the title all the more earlier.
