Fans Are Convinced Sancho Is Joining Man Utd After Huge Hint On Instagram
With the COVID-19 enforced lockdown in place, many players are taking to social media to stay in touch with their fans. As such, Instagram QnA’s have become very common.
Bereft of a well-curated media response team and a club’s insistence on maintaining an official word on transfer ins and outs, such endeavors can be an easy means for fresh transfer speculation to slip out.
Something of the sort appeared to have happened when Jadon Sancho took to Instagram on Sunday.
The live chat included an instance when a fan commented asking him to “sip water if your (sic) joining united”.
Interestingly, the young forward appeared to then take a large gulp of water from his bottle, in an apparent response to the hostage-style messaging tactic.

Imagine Sancho doesn’t end up joining United and he’s just been toying with them the whole time

Let's set things straight…
If Sancho joins Chelsea, he's one of the best talents in the world and we're taking Europe by a storm. If Sancho joins Man Utd, he's just Depay 2.0 and we never wanted him.

Whether or not he was actually responding to the comment or was genuinely thirsty is now not a question within the realms of consideration.
Fans leaped onto this apparent ‘hint’ and stormed to Twitter as confirmation that Sancho was indeed headed to Old Trafford.
Of course, recent reports have already given much leeway to this possibility as Dortmund have allegedly been looking at the youngster’s potential replacement while claims of Chelsea and Manchester United leading the race to acquire him still remain strong.

All in all, it is United who have been repeatedly touted to be in a pole position to acquire the former Manchester City player. However, it has been very clear that Borussia Dortmund won’t settle for a fee below their huge £100 million plus asking price.
This could certainly complicate matters.
However, if Sancho’s apparent response is to be taken seriously and if there indeed is a strong intent to join from the player himself, this saga is likely to define much of the summer transfer window, whenever that will occur.
