Fans were quite excited by this and took it as an assured indication of the former Manchester City graduate arriving at Old Trafford this window.

That the player desires to join the Red Devils has been a foregone conclusion for a while now, with the facet even occupying a place in the latest reports which allege that personal terms have already been agreed between the player and the club.
