Sancho Trends On Twitter Once More As Man United Lose To Sevilla
In what has become a recurrent feature, Jadon Sancho is trending on Twitter once again following Manchester United’s Europa League rout against Sevilla FC.
The Red Devils were woefully poor in their defending when it was most needed, with the scoreline of 2-1 reflecting brilliant attacking chances that couldn’t be finished and two horrendous moments of defending. Suso and Luuk de Jong found the back of the net for the La Liga side whereas it was a lone Bruno Fernandes penalty that gave the Premier League outfit some hope early on.
The reaction from the fans was quite divided on Twitter, but one man’s name still rang strong across the narrative.
Jadon Sancho, whose protracted transfer saga remains in great limbo after weeks of speculation, was once more trending as United fans reacted to their side’s end to the season with a loss.
If we have Jadon Sancho, we don’t lose that game.

Biggest pointer to Man Utd’s priorities in transfer market was Solskjaer not making a change until 86 mins. He has little faith in players beyond first XI and needs proper options on the bench. Sancho is the headline grabber, but better players in key areas just as important.

Scholes: “If you think of a Sancho in this team tonight, then United wins. They need to spend the money.” #MUFC [BT]

All on Woodward now. Who are we able to buy/sell will decide our chances for next season. Big 4 weeks ahead. The signs are not that good though with the shit show that has been the Sancho saga so far. #mufc

Imagine this team with Sancho starting & Grealish & Mason on the bench. 3 semis could be 3 finals & even a cup. This team is far from finished & nowhere near a title challenge but we’re at that stage where a couple of signings can massively improve us.
Get it done Ed!

Many of the tweets acknowledged how much better the team’s scoring potential would have been had a player of Sancho’s caliber and eye for goal been a part of the trident too.
Others still doubted whether the English starlet would ever arrive at the club. The most nuanced opinions amongst the lot pointed out that it was far more important for the Old Trafford giants to complete transfers like that of Sancho and address other crucial personnel needs rather than win the Europa League.
In that regard, more than one supporter pointed out that splashing big and spending all resources on one big starlet was perhaps a fool’s folly whereas the more realistic ones in the base accurately predict that this loss would be forgotten if Sancho’s arrival is announced soon.
Plenty of closure is remaining in that regard and the teenager would be intrigued for his name to go trending this often and for the wrong reasons.
