Man United Reach ‘Total Agreement’ For Donny van de Beek Transfer

Man United’s pursuit for Donny van de Beek seems likely to be approaching ever closer to the finish line as a deal appears to have been agreed to.

The player emerged onto the club’s radar a while ago with reports doing the rounds as early as June. However, this weekend has seen the strongest flurry of activity regarding the Dutchman as he was left out Ajax’s friendly squads and the manager confirmed that developments regarding his potential exit were on the table.

As such, it comes as no surprise that fresh updates are popping up as Ole Gunnar Solskjær and company seemed to have now secured a deal for the 23-year-old.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Man United are “confident” to acquire Donny van de Beek immediately after submitting their first bid for the Ajax player late on Sunday.

The amount is in the range of €40 million with a deal expected to be made soon. Further, he also adds that a contract until 2025 has been accepted by the Dutchman.

Romano’s claim was citing De Telegraaf’s Mike Verweij who added that paperwork and a medical would follow soon and with bonuses included, the full fee could extend into the €45 million range.

United supporters will be ecstatic about this news particularly after the Jadon Sancho debacle. Further still, even in the big transfers of the recent windows, the fact that the negotiation period stretched for weeks if not months on end and the club were often bullied will make this saga a refreshing one.

Van de Beek’s addition will be a promising one for Ole Gunnar Solskjær who will be looking to use much more than just as a backup to Bruno Fernandes.
