Manchester City’s new logo has been spotted by the Citizens well ahead of its official release, on a government website.
The Manchester club decided to redesign the club crest earlier this year, after giving supporters the opportunity to voice their opinions on the current design and whether they wanted something a little more modern.
The current badge – featuring an eagle and three purely decorative stars – has been in use since 1997.
The Blues were set for a big reveal on Boxing Day, after posting cryptic messages around Manchester over the last few days.
But the more eagle-eyed of the online community have spotted the brand new design on the UK government’s Intellectual Property Office website, where Manchester City have applied for a trademark.
