Anthony Martial Revels Ex-Man United Star Urged Him To Join Manchester United

Anthony Martial has revealed that he sought advice about joining Manchester United from former Red Devils’ defender Patrice Evra, who won five Premier League titles with the Old Trafford club.

The French striker  joined the Red Devils from Monaco on the final day of the summer transfer window in a deal worth up to £60 million, after seeking advice from former Old Trafford defender Evra, who encouraged him to move to Manchester United.

Anthony Martial told Man United’s website: “Patrice Evra told me it was a ‘club of champions’, a club that above all else wants to win, and certainly since I arrived here I’ve felt that for myself too.”

Anthony Martial Reveals His 2 Manchester United Idols:

He said: “Cantona is truly a legend here and he is a real reference for me too. He was a great player. You also have Pat Evra who lives in the same town as me in France and who has only had good things to say to me about the club.
