Barcelona Preparing a Move for Leicester City Midfielder Riyad Mahrez

FC Barcelona are preparing a £15 million move for Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez, according to The Sun.

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique is reportedly readying a £15 million worth summer move for the Algerian, after having him scouted repeatedly throughout this season and getting impressed by the midfielder’s goal scoring instincts and creativity.

The report also states that Riyad Mahrez’s consistent performances have helped him move above Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus on Barcelona’s shortlist.

The 25-year-old, who remains under contract with the Foxes until 2019, has scored 15 goals and bagged 11 assists this season, and is currently the leading candidate for Premier League’s Player of the Season award.

And although he is the main man at Leicester, a chance to secure a move to the reigning Spanish and European Champions, and arguably the biggest club on the planet, may be an offer too good to refuse for the Algerian international, despite facing the risk of being more of a back-up player for the Catalan Giants.
