Nigerian Man Stabbed By Friend During A Ronaldo vs Messi Argument In Mumbai
The biggest debate of this footballing era – Messi vs. Ronaldo – continues to spark debate and arguments between the rival fans worldwide. But this debate reached a new height this Sunday, when a Nigerian killed his fellow countryman over it in Nalasopara, Mumbai.
They reportedly lived together in the same building along with several other Nigerian nationals, and had gathered at a friend’s house to celebrate a birthday before the incident happened.
According to NDTV, the incident took place some time between 9.30 and 10 am.
“They were discussing football players. One is a fan of Messi and the other was for Ronaldo,” said police inspector Kiran Kabadi of the Tulinj station.
“During the conversation a quarrel has taken place. The deceased threw a glass into the face of the accused person. The glass broke and caused small injuries.
“After that the accused took the broken glass and assaulted the deceased person, who died due to heavy bleeding.”
“We have arrested the accused for murder and are investigating whether the murder was actually the outcome of a minor argument.”
Kabadi also added that the accused will be produced in court on Monday.
