Juventus and Atletico Madrid Keen To Land Ander Herrera This Summer

Spanish playmaker Ander Herrera could leave Old Trafford this summer as both Juventus and Atletico Madrid are interested to sign him, reports the Daily Mail.

Ander Herrera joined Manchester United from Athletic Bilbao for £29 million in 2014, and will enter the final two years of his contract this summer, with an option to extend the deal by a further 12 months.

Despite having a contract until 2018, United fans could see him leaving at the end of this season if his suitors are prepared to cough up anything close to the sum United paid for him in 2014.

The fan-favourite midfielder has been in and out of the Starting XI since arriving in Manchester, and could be tempted to return back to his homeland if Atletico Madrid come calling.

A switch to Italy is also possible, as the Italian champions Juventus are eyeing the former Real Zaragoza man as a possible replacement for Paul Pogba, who looks set to leave Turin, with moves to both Chelsea and Manchester City on the cards.

The 26-year-old Spaniard, who has scored three goals and assisted twice in 21 Premier League appearances this season, is reportedly frustrated with Louis van Gaal’s idea to deploy him at various positions.
