David De Gea Linked With £30 Million Paris Saint-Germain Transfer
Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly made David De Gea their number one transfer target.
Laurent Blanc, who has delivered Paris Saint-Germain their fourth consecutive Ligue 1 title already, with eight games to go, is reportedly prepared to pay £30 million for the world class shot-stopper, according to the Daily Mirror.
The 25-year-old was close to joining Real Madrid last year, but the deal collapsed due to the late completion of the necessary paperwork.
The Spaniard has since returned to first-team action at Old Trafford, and has been the best player for his side in many games. His string of fine saves has helped United keep their Champions League hopes alive, and are currently four points off the fourth spot.
The Spaniard agreed to sign a 4-year contract with United at the beginning of the season, which guaranteed United would get their money’s worth for De Gea if a club were to trigger his release clause of £30 million. Spanish giants Real Madrid are likely to revive their interest in bringing him to the Santiago Bernabeu, but it could also be the French giants that that end up matching that price tag this summer.
Kevin Trapp has been inconsistent and shaky between the sticks since coming to Paris from Eintracht Frankfurt, which is why the French champions are reportedly looking to strengthen that position by bringing in a world-class shot stopper, so as to push on for European success.
