Manchester United are currently in talks with ‘Super Agent’ Jorge Mendes over a potential move for Atletico Madrid’s Saúl Ñiguez, according to Okdiario.com via the Metro.
According to OkDiario, Manchester United are leading the race to sign the 21-year-old, having held talks with his agent Jorge Mendes.
Ñiguez is reportedly not interested in signing a contract extension at Atletico, and wants to move to a club that is ready to fulfill his contract demands.
The 6ft tall Spanish midfielder is good at reading the game, contributes a lot defensively, and possesses exceptional talent for interceptions and blocks. And having produced some excellent performances this season, the youngster has attracted interest from not only Manchester United, but also their Premier League rivals Arsenal, amongst other European clubs.
And with his release clause rumoured to be around £18.6 million, the Red Devils can easily manage to acquire his services this upcoming summer.
