Manchester United To Swap Martial For Cavani
Manchester United are considering a swap deal involving Anthony Martial and Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani, according to Tuttomercatoweb.com via Goal.com.
Anthony Martial arrived at Manchester United from AS Monaco for £58 million on the 2015 transfer deadline day, and was labelled as a ‘panic buy’ and a ‘waste of money’. But, he immediately shut his critics up by scoring on his United debut against Liverpool, and has been consistently performing at a high level for the Red Devils ever since.

However, Manchester United are now considering swapping the young Frenchman for the experienced and lethal Edinson Cavani.
Cavani moved to PSG in 2013 for a whopping fee of £50 million, and has managed to score 74 goals in 133 appearances for the Paris based club. But due to the presence of Zlatan Ibrahimović, the 29-year-old Uruguayan has primarily featured in a wider role for Laurent Blanc’s side, which has left him utterly frustrated and desiring for a move away.
Manchester United are ready to take full advantage of this situation and bring Cavani to the Theatre of Dreams by using Martial as a bargaining chip.
Many other European clubs like Juventus, Arsenal and Chelsea are also interested in Cavani’s signature, but Manchester United may very well have the upper hand thanks to their young French striker.
