TRANSFER ROUND-UP: Premier League Clubs Receive Major Boost Following Reliable Journalist’s Comments

Premier League Giants Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United have received a major transfer boost in their hopes of signing Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos, following comments made by Spanish journalist Guillem Balague.

Toni Kroos moved from Bayern Munich to Real Madrid in 2014 for a fee rumoured to be around £25 million, signing a 6-year contract to commit his long-term future with the club.

However, various reports suggesting that the midfielder intends to leave the Spanish giants are already emerging, with trusted Spanish journalist Guillem Balague stating that Toni Kroos intends to leave the Los Blancos this upcoming summer.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Balague stated: “I do believe he wants to leave Real. It will be a fight for anyone to get him, but he would be ideal for Manchester United. There will be a fight for him this summer.”

Arsenal are one of the many rumoured clubs interested in the signature of the 26-year-old, and may try to convince him in joining his fellow countrymen Mesut Özil and Per Mertesacker at the Emirates.

Manchester City too, are in the contention for the German’s signing, with a potential reunion between Toni Kroos and Pep Guardiola, his former manager at Bayern, possibly tilting the odds in their favour.

But, as revealed by Balague, Manchester United – a club that tried to sign him back in 2014 as well – seems to be his most probable destination.
