The 27-year-old joined Manchester United from Chelsea in January 2013, and has two years remaining on his contract, but is said to be keen on signing an extension in the summer. But, speculation suggesting Jose Mourinho is expected take over as the next United boss from next season onwards could see the midfielder leave Old Trafford.

The Istanbul outfit, who brought Robin van Persie and Nani to Turkey from Manchester last summer, intend to add another Red Devil’s name to their ranks.

The Premier League side are believed to be reluctant to sell the Spaniard on a permanent transfer, but could be open to a loan move.

Reports also suggest that the club representatives are set to meet to discuss any potential agreement.
