Victor Valdes has told his agent that he would like to play in England next season, according to Catalan newspaper Sport.
Victor Valdés joined Manchester United for free in January 2015, but was later loaned to Standard Liege after a public row with United manager Louis van Gaal.
The former Barcelona man, who arrived in Belgium in January, has been one of Standard’s best players, winning the Belgian cup with the side.
Despite of his successful time with the Belgian side, Valdes will leave Standard Liege at the end of the season, as he desires to go back to the Premier League.
Catalan newspaper Sport has revealed that Valdés’ representative Ginés Carvajal was contacted by Standard Liege regarding a permanent move, but the agent said the 34-year-old goalkeeper is looking for a Premier League club.
Spanish news outlet Don Balon have claimed that the Champions League winner could be the ideal signing for Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp is reportedly looking to sign a new keeper in the summer as first-choice keeper to replace Simon Mignolet, who has had a shaky time between the sticks this season, having made several mistakes.
