Sergio Ramos Wants Real Madrid To Try To Sign David De Gea
COPE: Sergio Ramos wants David De Gea at Real Madrid.
Real Madrid came close to signing David de Gea last summer, but a £29million deal collapsed on deadline day of transfer window due to paperwork issues.
The Spain international then signed a long-term deal with United, that will keep him at the club until 2019, but he had a £30million release clause installed into his contract to keep the possibility of a move back to his homeland.
And despite Keylor Navas’ excellent season, Sergio Ramos wants Real Madrid to make attempts to bring his international colleague to Santiago Bernabeu.
He told COPE: “To speak about players who are not here would be a lack of respect for my teammates – Keylor [Navas], Kiko Casilla, Ruben the third keeper – but I have always said the best players should be here, and if the people at the top consider that he must come, for me De Gea is one of the best.”
Yesterday, David De Gea was named in the PFA Team of the Year for the third time in his career, capping yet another excellent campaign for the 25-year old.
