Liverpool have officially completed the signing of Sadio Mane from Southampton for £34m, which could further increase to £38m in bonuses.
The 24-year-old, who scored 25 goals in 75 games for Southampton in his two seasons with the Saints, has penned a long-term deal with the Reds and will be officially registered as a Liverpool player on July 1.
In a statement on Liverpool’s website, Mane said: “Today is a big day and I am very happy to sign for one of the biggest clubs in Europe. It’s a club that has won a lot of trophies and has a big history. Now I am looking forward to meeting all the staff and my teammates and starting the season.”
The Senegal international will be the fourth new arrival at Anfield this summer, following Loris Karius, Joel Matip and Marko Grujic.
