Blaise Matuidi To Fly To England To Discuss Move

Earlier today, there were reports of the Frenchman flying to England for transfer talks with an unnamed club. Surprisingly, it wasn’t Paul Pogba – but his fellow countryman Blaise Matuidi.

Matuidi has been one of the key performers for his country in EURO 2016, and after another good performance in France’s 5-2 win over Iceland on Sunday night, he travelled to England with the permission of both French national side and his current club PSG, according to Goal France.

Unai Emery is prepared to let go of the midfielder, who still has two years left on his current deal with PSG. The new boss has already added Grzegorz Krychowiak from Sevilla to reportedly replace Matuidi.

However, Goal France didn’t name the club concerned, but reports indicate the 29-year-old, who has previously been linked with Chelsea, is being targeted by both the Manchester clubs. Some reports also suggest he is holding talks with agent Mino Raiola for potential Manchester United move.
