‘Pogba to Manchester United’ transfer reports looked stupid until last month. Surprisingly, in recent weeks, the transfer is looking very much possible, with numerous news outlets reporting strong interest from Pogba’s former club, which he left four years ago to join Juventus.
And now, Daily Mail is reporting that the Frenchman is ‘edging closer to a sensational Manchester United return,’ with Jose Mourinho so confident regarding the deal, that he has told his friends to expect an £80 million signing at Old Trafford this summer.
They understand Mourinho’s claims could be referencing a move for Paul Pogba.
United chief Ed Woodward wants to make a statement of intent and is ready to surpass previous club record transfer fee of £59.7 million, which they spent on Angel di Maria. In addition, the club will also offer wages of £250,000-a-week to the young midfielder.
