Pogba “On The Verge” Of Completing United Move

Paul Pogba has dominated headlines for the past month, with links to a record-breaking transfer. And now, his imminent move to Manchester United has received a new development.

Spanish newspaper, AS, have placed the French International on their front page, and are now claiming that Real Madrid have still got their eye on the 23-year-old. Zidane’s side are only left to raise the necessary funds to complete the move.

Paul Pogba has been given a massive £100 million price tag by Juventus, and a potential bidding war against Manchester United will only increase the Frenchman’s worth.

It is believed that Real Madrid are waiting for the sale of their Colombian forward, James Rodriguez, before they can make a substantial bid for Pogba’s services. James is believed to be worth €80 million, with West Ham and Manchester United interested in the 25-year-old.

Real Madrid were believed to have pulled out of the race for Pogba’s signature because they thought that his £100 million price tag was ridiculous. But AS are now reporting that the Galacticos do not have enough money to fund the transfer.

But, as Real Madrid search for the necessary cash to bring the Frenchman to the Spanish Capital, Manchester United are eager to complete the deal as quickly as possible.

AS report that the Red Devils are “on the verge” of wrapping up the deal, with all formalities and agreements “almost done.”

The Spanish Newspaper also reports the Pogba would prefer a switch to the Spanish capital, rather than his former club. But, with Real still waiting on funds, Pogba would have no other options, other than opting to stay in Turin.

However, the report adds that Pogba “hasn’t considered” renewing his contract with the Turin-based club – with his current contract set to expire in 2019.
