Manchester United’s Adnan Januzaj Interests Inter Milan
Adnan Januzaj has spurred up interest from Italian side, Internazionale, as per the Italian news outlet, CalcioMercato.
The Belgian winger is also wanted by newly promoted side, Middlesbrough, but Inter will battle it out for the youngster’s services.
The Italian news outlet also reports that Inter are having difficulties in their pursuit of Antonio Candreva and Joao Mario, and Roberto Mancini will be looking for the young Belgian as an alternative.
Inter are believed to be looking to sign the youngster on loan, and have the option to purchase him at the end of the loan spell. CalcioMercato have reported that Inter would need to pay €8 million to strike a loan deal and an option for purchase at the end.
Roberto Mancini is looking for his side to adapt a 4-2-3-1 formation, and would like to use Adnan as an attacking midfielder.
Adnan Januzaj has not lived up to expectations since his initial breakthrough under David Moyes. The 21-year-old hasn’t been awarded a first-team place, and was also sent out on loan to German side Borussia Dortmund.
David Moyes saw the youngster’s potential and subsequently awarded Januzaj his professional debut – scoring a goal during his first start for the club. But, the Belgian failed to meet the physical and defensive requirements that were needed from him.
Manchester United’s previous manager, Louis Van Gaal, sent the youngster on loan to Borussia Dortmund in an attempt to help him develop his abilities – but Adnan returned early, because he had a poor attitude in training.
New United boss, Jose Mourinho, is still undecided on whether he would like to give the youngster a chance, or whether he should send him out on loan.
With Inter Milan and Middlesbrough interested in the Belgian’s services, it isn’t going to take long for Mourinho to make his final decision.
The youngster doesn’t possess the physical attributes that Mourinho looks for in a midfielder – this was also the reason that Jose sold Juan Mata during his reign at Chelsea.
