Leonardo Bonucci Interests Manchester United

Manchester United are believed to be interested in Leonardo Bonucci, as they look to strengthen their defensive options.

Jose Mourinho has already signed Eric Bailly, but the Portuguese manager is looking for an experienced and solid defender, according to Manchester Evening News.

Mourinho’s current squad consists of young and relatively inexperienced defenders, with Chris Smalling being their most experienced center back.

Leonardo Bonucci has already stirred up interest from the likes of Manchester City, but United will look to showcase their financial power and attract the Italian from Juventus.

However, the Red Devils are still in pursuit of their former midfielder, Paul Pogba – who is set to cost them a word-record €120 million. But, the latest reports from Italy claim that Juventus have also rejected this offer.

M.E.N. Sport report that Manchester United and Paul Pogba are still “on the same page,” but Juventus are only putting on a “show” to convince the supporters that they are trying to hold on to their French powerhouse.

With the on-going negotiations for Pogba, it is unlikely that Juventus will be open to talks for the departure of Leonardo Bonucci. The Italian Champions have already lost Alvaro Morata this summer, after Real Madrid activated the youngster’s buy-back clause.

Leonardo was one of the best performers during this year’s European Championships. However, the 29-year-old could not help his nation get past Germany in the quarter-finals.

Manchester United have been on the look-out for an experienced defender for over a year. They even enquired on the availability of Sergio Ramos, but the Spaniard opted to stay with Real Madrid, and used the interest shown by United as a way to get a higher salary.

Jose is also believed to be looking for Varane’s signature, but the speculation has reduced since the Frenchman insisted that he sees his future at Real Madrid.

I aw strongly against the signing of Pogba, more especially he is arrogant, and the cost is too much!
