Paul Pogba Tells Fans That He Will Stay In Italy

Manchester United target, Paul Pogba, told hosts from the YouTube channel, IFTV, that he will remain at Juventus.

The Paul Pogba transfer saga has prolonged for most of this summer transfer window, with many news agencies reporting that the end is in sight. However, this new development suggests that Pogba will not make the switch this year, and will, in fact, remain with the Italian Champions.

Hosts from the IFTV (Italian Football TV) channel on YouTube asked the 23-year-old, outside his hotel, whether he will remain in Juventus for the upcoming season, to which he replied “Yeah.” They asked Pogba a second time to confirm whether that was true, and he replied “Yes” again. Pogba even signed their Juventus football.

However, the same people who asked him the question later stated that they didn’t believe Pogba’s statement enough to take it as a confirmation of his stay in Turin.

Most news agencies report that Pogba will complete his switch as early as today, while others claim that Real Madrid are going to try and hijack the deal in a similar way to which Barcelona hijacked their Andre Gomes deal.

Pogba is supposedly going to fly to Manchester later this week to complete his medical and sign his new £290,000 a week salary contract with his former club.

Mourinho is looking to complete the deal before Manchester United’s first competitive match this season – the FA Community Shield against Leicester City. The Portuguese man has been pushing for this transfer for almost the whole length of this transfer window.

But, if United fail to secure the Frenchman’s signature, then they are expected to opt for either Blaise Matuidi or Nemanja Matic, although Real Madrid and Arsenal are eyeing both players. Mourinho will have to work fast in order to balance out his squad for this season.
