Manchester United Interested In €60m-Rated Alvaro Morata

Spanish Newspaper, La Confidencial, have reported that Jose Mourinho is looking to sign Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid for a massive €60 million.

Manchester United fans are currently waiting on news about Paul Pogba, but reports from Spain claim the Mourinho is looking to add another attacking option this season.

The Spaniard has been previously linked with a switch to Chelsea, but a move never materialized, as Real Madrid were unwilling to let go of the player for a cheap price.

Real Madrid recently bought back the striker from Juventus, after Zidane activated the buy-back clause in Morata’s contract. The Galacticos paid a total of €30 million to regain his services.

Alvaro Morata scored over 12 goals in his 47 appearances last season, although most of them were from the bench. The youngster is currently showing plenty of promise.

Reports claim the Zidane has got the 23-year-old in his future plans. However, he would be willing to let the player go if he is offered a large sum of money. Spanish newspapers claim that the magical number would be around €75 million.

Antonio Conte made a €50 million bid for Morata, which was rejected by Zidane. But, with Manchester United having more of a financial advantage, we could see the Spaniard arrive in the Premier League this season.

Manchester United are currently locked in negotiations with Juventus over a move for Paul Pogba, with the switch set to make Pogba the most expensive player in the history of football – at a transfer fee of €135 million.

Mourinho has already bolstered his squad this season with the signings of Zlatan Ibrahimović, Eric Bailly, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Paul Pogba is believed to be his final signing of this transfer window, but that doesn’t seem to be the case, as Manchester United have been linked with all sorts of player this summer.

Fresh reports claim that Mourinho is also looking for an older and more experienced defender, with Bonucci being one of his targets.
