Pogba Gifts Drake A Juve Shirt Amidst United Speculation

Amidst speculation suggesting Paul Pogba is set to complete his move to Manchester United in the coming days, the midfielder was seen gifting one of his Juventus shirts to the popular rapper, Drake.

The Frenchman met up with Drake during his holiday in the United States, where he handed the rapper one of his Juventus jerseys.

And the media seem to have taken this as a confirmation of his stay in Turin, but this isn’t the case. Pogba is still going to return to Manchester United this summer, as per the Manchester Evening News.

Juventus have already stripped Pogba off his No. 10 shirt number, and handed it to Paulo Dybala, meaning that even if he is to stay in Turin, he would be given a new squad number.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are still working on a deal with Juventus over the 23-year-old’s transfer. The negotiations have been going slow due to the astronomical fee involved in the transfer.

The Red Devils are going to pay a world-record £112 million to secure Pogba’s services, as per reports. Juventus rejected Manchester United’s first two bids, as there was a debate over who will pay Pogba’s agent his £24 million fee.

Jose Mourinho spoke at a press conference recently, hinting at the world-record deal.

“We are going to get a very good midfield player, so I am happy with the balance of my squad, I’m happy with the effort that the club has, and is still putting in for us.”

He also added that Manchester United are going to have a 23 man squad for the upcoming season.

We have 22 players and we are going to have 23.

Pogba is believed to be Mourinho’s final signing of this summer transfer window. However, reports claim the Portuguese manager is still on the lookout for an older and more experienced defender.
