Former Tottenham and Leicester City striker, Gary Lineker, has described Paul Pogba’s transfer to Manchester United as a “watershed” moment for the Premier League.
The Englishman reacted to Pogba’s transfer on the social media site, Twitter. He posted two updates, and touched on how Pogba is the first “huge foreign star” to join the English league.
Given the wealth of the @premierleague more of the greats will come here and not just to Barça and Real Madrid. Interesting times.

His second update, which came two minutes later, was about how the Premier League boasts a number of top clubs that are capable of attracting great footballers – and not just Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Manchester United announced the capture of Paul Pogba at midnight, but the announcement came as no surprise to the millions of supporters, who were already following the transfer saga.

Paul Pogba will cost Manchester United a massive £92 million, but the club will also have to pay another fee to Mino Raiola (Pogba’s agent). The transfer fee could rise up to a massive £120 million, depending on Pogba’s performance at the club.

Manchester United are reportedly going to earn an enormous £40 million a year just in commercial income from Paul Pogba. This means that by the time Pogba enters the final year in his contract, he would have already paid off his transfer fee – good business for United.
Pogba left Manchester United back in 2012 on a mutual agreement, but many believe that it was because Sir Alex never offered the France international a bigger role in his squad. But recent reports also claim that Manchester United let the player go because he was demanding a massive wage.
However, all bumps have now been ironed out, and Pogba is looking forward to being back in Manchester. He said in his first interview with the Red Devils that he feels he is here to take care of some of his “unfinished business.”
