Middlesbrough Looking To Sign Pereira, United Uninterested

Recently promoted side, Middlesbrough, are looking to sign Andreas Pereira, but Manchester United are unwilling to co-operate for a permanent deal.

Jose Mourinho is believed to have rejected a move for the 20-year-old, as he sees Andreas having a future with the club.

Middlesbrough initially approached Manchester United with the intention of purchasing the player on a permanent transfer. However, Mourinho is only willing to send him out on a loan deal.

United have already sent their Belgian starlet, Adnan Januzaj, out on loan to Sunderland, where he will join his former mentor, David Moyes.

Donald Love and Paddy McNair also re-joined David Moyes at Sunderland, but the pair went on a permanent transfer, with the deal costing around £6 million.

It seems that Manchester United are trying their best to avoid any future scenarios similar to the one they faced this summer. The Red Devils had to break the world transfer record in order to bring back their former player, Paul Pogba.

Aitor Karanka, Middlesbrough’s boss, has a good relationship with Jose Mourinho, which he hopes can help him broker a deal for the Brazilian youngster.

Andreas Pereira, meanwhile, has displayed excellent form during the pre-season, and is hoping to be integrated into Mourinho’s first team squad soon.

“I want to show the manager, to show the people around the club, to show the players that I can help this season,” Pereira said last month.

“It’s very important for me. I want to show this in training and just keep working hard.

“I’m very happy I scored in the Wigan game, it was not a bad strike at all. I can play in other positions but I enjoyed that role a lot.”

Pereira was believed to be on Mourinho’s ten man sell list, although the Portuguese manager may have had a change of heart for the youngster.
