Manchester United Receive Marouane Fellaini Bid

Galatasaray are believed to have made a bid for Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini.

Turkish News Outlet, Fotospor, have reported that Galatasaray are interested in signing the 28-year-old on a loan deal.

The Express have also touched on the same topic, revealing that Fellaini could be leave Old Trafford this summer.

Manchester United signed Fellaini back in 2013, shortly after the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson. The Belgian powerhouse has since failed to establish himself in the United first team.

Fellaini, who played as an attacking midfielder at Everton, was brought into the United squad with hopes of him converting into a more defensive man due to his great physique.

However, he has failed to integrate himself into the first team squad, despite making 21 appearances during his first season in Manchester.

With the arrival of Jose Mourinho, it seemed the end of Fellaini’s Manchester United career. But Mourinho stated during one of his first interviews as the Manchester United boss that he is willing to give every player a fair chance.

Fellaini featured during Manchester United’s 2-1 FA Community Shield triumph over Leicester City. However, he was the reason behind Leicester scoring their only goal on the afternoon.

The Belgian also managed to make it into the starting eleven during Manchester United’s first 2016/17 Premier League match against Bournemouth, as United’s record signing, Paul Pogba, was ruled out through suspension.

However, Fellaini put in a much better performance than when he played against Leicester. He looked sharp and strong in midfield and dictated most of the match.

Fellaini’s improved performances pose a dilemma for Jose Mourinho as he attempts to get Manchester United back to their winning ways.

The Special One intends to trim his squad down to only 22 players, with several big names like Schweinsteiger and Rojo on their way out. Mourinho will therefore, have to make a quick decision as to whether he will keep Fellaini this season or send him out.

David Moyes’ Sunderland were also believed to be interested in signing the Belgium International, but talks seem to be moving slowly.
