Griezmann Confirms Atletico Stay
Antoine Griezmann has confirmed that he will stay at Atletico Madrid despite interest from other clubs.
Ligue 1 champions PSG and Premier League club Arsenal were linked with the Frenchman, who was the star of the recently concluded Euro 2016, and scored 6 goals to help the French team reach the finals, wherein they lost to Portugal.
Griezmann began his career at Spanish club Real Sociedad, making his debut in 2009 and winning Segunda Division in his first season. Across five seasons there, he scored 52 goals in 201 official matches.
Griezmann joined Sociedad at the age of 14 in 2005. Nine years later, on 28th July 2014, fellow La Liga club Atletico Madrid reached an agreement with Real Sociedad for the transfer of Griezmann, for a fee believed to be close to his €30 million buy-out clause.
He scored 57 goals in 109 matches in 2 seasons for Atletico Madrid, with 32 goals coming in the 2015-2016 season.
