Tottenham U18 Coach Joins Manchester United
Kieran McKenna, Tottenham’s former U18 coach, is believed to have joined Manchester United, according to the ESPN.
The report states that Kieran will be joining Manchester United’s U23 side, and he has already begun working at Carrington this week.
McKenna left Tottenham with no strings attached. Spurs were believed to be happy with the 30-year-old’s move to their rivals.
Reports claim that Manchester United have always had an eye for the Tottenham Hotspur Youth Setup, and even tried to lure John McDermott at one point, although they failed in their pursuit.
Kieran McKenna has been important to the Spurs Youth setup, and even oversaw the development of Marcus Edwards and Shayon Harrison, both players who have impressed during the pre-season.
Tottenham Hotspur have become known for nurturing players and turning them into superstars. Gareth Bale and Luka Modric are both good examples of how the London-based club produced world-class talent.
This season, Harry Kane is expected to spearhead Tottenham’s title charge after they finished in a disappointing third-place last season, when they lost three points on the final day of their Premier League campaign.
Manchester United have also been known for their Youth Squad, producing the some of the finest talents in the world, including the Class of 92’.
