OFFICIAL: Joe Hart Joins Torino On Loan
Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has joined Torino on a season long loan, the Serie A outfit have announced.
The arrival of Claudio Bravo from Barcelona has led to the departure of one of Manchester City’s most decorated players.
Hart told club’s website: “Suddenly my career underwent a change. I interpreted it as a sign of destiny, and so I had to do something. The interest from Torino came at the right time, and in the right way. I am very happy to be able to try a beautiful and challenging league like Serie A.
“Your goalkeeping is recognised throughout the world, so I am convinced I can still learn a lot here with Torino. This is why I immediately accepted the proposal of the President with great enthusiasm.
“I’ve read about Torino, the coach wants the players who are humble but ambitious – even that I really like and that’s how I want to be.”
Torino president talked about his club’s latest addition by stating: “Joe Hart is a goalkeeper of international level, with considerable experience gained both with Manchester City, both with the English national team where among other things he made his debut very young, at age 21.
“Being able to sign him is for all of us a source of great satisfaction and testifies our ambitions of wanting to build a team stronger and more competitive. As always will be the field to determine this, we certainly have not hesitated a single second when we took the opportunity to strike up a deal with Manchester City.”
England’s first choice goalkeeper could make his debut for Torino against Atalanta on 11 September.
