Antoine Griezmann Reveals What Would Make Him Leave Madrid
Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann has revealed that the only way he would leave the Spanish Capital would be if current boss Diego Simeone leaves.
Griezmann has been heavily linked with a switch away from the Calderon this summer, but he opted to stay in Madrid, although Manchester United are believed to be preparing a world-record bid for the Frenchman.
He has scored over 40 goals for the Rojiblancos during the past two seasons, and even won the Golden Boot at the recently concluded European Championships.
Antoine’s incredible performances have stirred many reports that his departure from Atletico will be imminent. But the French attacker has just revealed the only condition that would make him pack his bags.
“The only doubt would be if Simeone leaves for PSG or wherever,” he told Telefoot.
“I called him before extending my contract and he confirmed to me that he was staying. I can learn a lot from him.
“PSG are not my goal at the moment. I’m happy in Spain. I’m always proud to be popular with the fans. I try to smile and do my best. If they like it, it’s even better.”

If Simeone does end up leaving Atletico Madrid, Griezmann will not have to search long for a new club.
In the Premier League, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal are all looking for his signature, or he could opt for a move to Turin in Italy and sign for Juventus.
A move to his cross-town rivals, Real Madrid, could also be on the cards if the Los Blancos offer enough money to convince the player.
Reports claimed that Diego Simeone was considering leaving the Calderon following his second defeat to Real Madrid in a UEFA Champions League final.
During his five years with Atletico Madrid, Simeone has won one La Liga title and one UEFA Europa League trophy. Quite impressive from the Argentine considering the Spanish La Liga is dominated by Barcelona and Real Madrid.
