Simeone Set To Leave Atletico Madrid Soon

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone is set to leave the club in the near future, according to Spanish media outlet El Confidencial.

The former Atletico Madrid player was unveiled as manager a few days before Christmas in 2011. Since then, he has reached great heights with Atletico.

Simeone has won the La Liga, the Spanish Super Cup, the Copa del Rey, as well as the Europa League, and has finished as the Champions League runner up twice in 3 seasons, losing to local rivals Real Madrid in both.

The 46-year-old manager recently signed a contract extending his stay at Atletico upto 2020, but according to El Confidencial, he might be leaving as soon as 2018.

As per the report, news of Simeone leaving before the expiry of his contract has not sat well with the Atletico Madrid hierarchy, and Simeone has a strained relationship with them.

Ans according to rumours, Inter Milan might be Simeone’s next destination.
