Mourinho Takes Decision On Martial and Rashford
Manchester United have had a tough start under Mourinho, but they finally seem to be getting their act together, with a recent string of wins, and being unbeaten in 13 games. This is majorly up to their solid defensive efforts, and also goals from newly bought star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
With the number 9 scoring so prolifically, Martial and Rashford have had a tough task trying to get game time and have been watching the action from the bench more often than not. When they have played, they have done so out of position, and have failed to deliver what Mourinho expects out of the both of them.
While still young, both showed a lot of promise last year under Van Gaal in their breakthrough seasons for Manchester United, and were seen as the Reds’ main striking force, until the arrival of Mourinho in the summer of 2016 and the big star signings that followed.

Martial clearly expressed his annoyance at being benched so often, and Rashford might also be heading in the same direction.
However, according to reports from ESPN, Mourinho does not plan on letting either of the duo leave as they give him great depth in the squad and provide attacking pace and flair with youth, as both Rooney and Zlatan are on the wrong side of 30 years of age.
With Mourinho happy to keep them as backup options, and other clubs like West Ham interested in taking them away on loan, January will be an interesting month for the two United strikers, and one to look forward to for the fans.
