Goncalo Guedes Says Good Bye To Benfica Teammates

PSG and Manchester United target Goncalo Guedes has reportedly said good bye to his Benfica teammates ahead of a potential January move.

The Portugal international has been a subject of interest from Jose Mourinho over the past few weeks, and is rumoured to have held talks with United representatives already, but the Red Devils aren’t the only suitors looking to snap up the winger.

PSG boss Unei Emery has confirmed that the French champions are also in the hunt for Guedes. Despite bringing in Julian Draxler, PSG are willing to muscle in on United’s bid for the winger.

Guedes was left out of the Benfica squad that defeated Tondela 4-0 due to the ongoing negotiations, as reported by Portuguese outlet Record.

However, some reports claimed Guedes was in attendance at the ground to bid his farewells to teammates and fans alike.

Guedes, who is represented by Jorge Mendes, is touted as one of the most highly-rated prospects in Portuguese football at present.

And after committing his future to Benfica during the summer, Guedes has been used at the front and centre in a new-look side this season. Rather than playing out wide, he has been utilised in a more central role for much of the season, under coach Rui Vitoria, and straightaway responding with seven goals and seven assists in 28 games.

The Extremely talented winger has managed to thrive on the game-time, drawing similarities with Portugal captain, and former United favourite, Ronaldo because of his abundance of speed and skill.

The youngster is expected to leave Benfica for a fee of around £26million.
