Man United Could Lose Ashley Young To Everton Before January Window Closes
Everton could be ready for another raid on Manchester United, after Jose Mourinho admitted that Ashley Young could leave Old Trafford.
Everton were heavily linked with a move for the winger over the past few weeks, with The Daily Star reporting that the England international was considering a switch to them along with Premier League rivals West Bromwich Albion, Swansea City, and one of his former teams, Watford.
Young, 31, has also reportedly attracted interest from the lucrative Chinese Super League – whose transfer window doesn’t close until February 26 – but while Mourinho made it clear he would want the player to stay, he admitted Young might depart.

The United boss said: “The only player that I am aware of a possibility to leave, and I am waiting for January 31 to know what is going on, is Ashley Young, a player I would love to keep.
“I am not happy if he leaves, but he is the only player that I am informed has a possibility of leaving. That is why he didn’t play and I gave chances to other people, because I don’t know if he is going to stay. If I could choose, definitely yes he would stay with us.”
Everton boss Koeman is still digging deep in the market in search of a wide man following the departure of both Gerard Deulofeu and Tom Cleverley on loan to AC Milan and Watford respectively.
The Dutchman was also keen to land his compatriot Memphis Depay, but his interest eventually cooled and the player joined Lyon.
Everton have already signed Anton Donkor on loan from Wolfsburg, but he will initially start off with David Unsworth’s Under-23s squad.
