Reports: Rooney’s Wife Backs Her Husband’s China Move
Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney’s wife reportedly has no problem if her husband agrees on a highly lucrative switch to the Chinese Super League.
Few days ago, rumours were circling that United boss Jose Mourinho has given Rooney the green signal to leave Old Trafford for a move to the Far East.
Rooney recently became Manchester United’s all-time leading scorer, when he scored his 250th goal during the 1-1 draw with Stoke City on January 21.

The veteran forward has been one of Old Trafford’s golden boys for the past 13 years, but of late, he has struggled for game time, and this season under Mourinho, it has gotten even worse, as the England captain has started just eight Premier League matches.
Also, with such extreme competition from the likes of Marcus Rashford, Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan all fighting for starting places, Rooney has been forced to a substitute role on a more regular basis than he would have thought.
Some reports suggested the 31-year-old will leave United for a £140m offer from China, and now, according to the Daily Star, his wife Coleen Rooney has finally given her approval.

However the same report also claims she intends to stay in the UK to look after the couple’s three sons Kai, 7, Klay, 3, and 1-year-old Kit.
Rooney has 18 months before his £250,000-a-week contract runs out at Manchester United.
With a lack of football at Old Trafford and with the mega-money available in China in the twilight stages of his career, Rooney has a chance to join a whole list of top European stars if he decides to make a switch, as the Chinese Super League continues to grow in strength and quality.
