Galatasaray’s sporting director has told Turkish-Football that their 22-year-old attacker – Bruma – wants to play for Manchester United.

The Portuguese U21 international has always been linked with a move to Premier League, but so far, nothing has materialized. A scorer of seven goals and five assists in just 18 appearances, Bruma is one of the hottest properties in Europe and has expressed his desires to play for Jose Mourinho on a number of occasions.

Back in December, the youngster revealed that he actually held negotiations with Jose Mourinho in the previous summer window, but the move collapsed due to some reasons.

And now, speaking to Turkish-FootballGalatasaray’s sporting director Levent Nazifoglu said:

“Bruma aims to play for Manchester United but if he wants this he must change certain things.”

Nazifoglu is certainly right in his analysis, as the 22-year-old is known for keeping his hot-head identity. Last year, the Portuguese attacker was dropped from Igor Tudor’s first game in charge after their dispute in the training session and this kind of attitude won’t work at Manchester United.

Besides that, United are gifted with a number of players who can play on the same spot as Bruma, hence signing the Portuguese will further congest the roster. The likes of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard are all fighting for a regular game time and bringing Bruma in would mean a possible departure of one of the aforementioned names.

Jose Mourinho, on his part, did state that this summer will be a quiet one as there won’t be a huge overhaul at the club. Bruma’s desire to play for Manchester United seem to be a distant dream

Bruma’s desire to play for Manchester United seem to be a distant dream as United are loaded with the players of similar irk, hence, it is fair to say that the Devils do not really need him; at least for a year or two.
