Anthony Martial Wants To Stay With Manchester United For ‘As Long As Possible’
Manchester United striker Anthony Martial has ruled out any possibility of him leaving the Old Trafford outfit by saying that he wants to stay at the club ‘for as long as possible’.
The 21-year-old was constantly linked with an exit in the recently concluded winter transfer window, but United boss – Jose Mourinho – was reluctant to sell the former Monaco striker and did state that he is an integral part of his squad.
Even though Martial has struggled to establish a first team spot under the Portuguese, in form – whenever stepped onto the field – has been explicit to say the least. Manchester United do have Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard, but what Martial offers cannot be matched by the aforementioned two.
Furthermore, his form in recent games have earned him a lot of accolades and even though he has failed to register many goals to his name, his chemistry with his teammates has been worth praising.
Mourinho wanted Martial to get over his personal life and concentrate more on the pitch and the most expensive teenager in history of the sport has followed the guidelines of the Portuguese and the results were there.

He featured in the previous three matches for the Red Devils and will be further hoping to start the fourth successive game when United visits St Etienne in the second leg of United’s Europa League last-32 tie.
Denying all the rumors, Martial said that he is very happy with his life at Manchester and has no thoughts of leaving the club.
“I love Manchester, I love the club and I love the fans,” Martial was quoted by Sky Sports.
“(The fans) give me a lot of joy and I really enjoy having them backing me.
“I try to be as good as possible to make them happy, to satisfy them, so what I just want is to stay as long as possible at this club.”
This season has been a tipsy topsy one for the Frenchman as his scoring boots have been a bit rusty, but the potential is there without any doubt. A couple of more years under ‘The Special One’ and Martial would easily become one of the best in the league.
