Manchester United hosted a struggling Bournemouth side in a crucial Premier League encounter at Old Trafford on Saturday, with many expecting Jose Mourinho’s men to stroll past their opposition.

However, the Cherries put in a terrific performance to prevent United from securing their 600th Premier League victory, and took a point away from the game, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

MANCHESTER UNITED PLAYER RATINGS:

David De Gea – 6
Didn’t have much to do the entire game. Dived the right way, but failed to save King’s spot kick.

Antonio Valencia – 6

Was a threat going forward, and bagged an assist.

Phil Jones – 5
Made a few mistakes early in the game, and conceded a penalty as well.

Marcos Rojo – 6
Was much more comfortable on his return to his preferred CB position as compared to RB. Scored his first Premier League goal for United.

Luke Shaw – 6
Marked his return with a decent performance, but could have done better.

Michael Carrick – 6
Dominated the middle of the park. Picked up a Yellow.

Paul Pogba – 5
Struggled to make his mark on the game, and missed a few good chances.

Juan Mata – 5
Failed to pull the strings like he usually does.

Wayne Rooney – 5
Average display on the night from the Manchester United skipper.

Anthony Martial – 6
Tormented the Bournemouth defenders with his pace, but couldn’t deliver the end product.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic – 5

Missed some good chances, including his penalty. Got booked, but was immensely lucky not to get sent off.
