Arsenal Won’t Sack Arsene Wenger Because He Is Good For Business, Claims Club Legend
Arsenal legend Ian Wright has claimed that the club owner will not sack Arsene Wenger because the Frenchman is too good for business to let go.
After getting knocked out of the EFL Cup and the Premier League title race, as well as the UEFA Champions League in the most humiliating manner, the FA Cup now remains the only possible title the Gunners can win this season, and Arsene Wenger’s future may very well depend on it.
However, according to former Gooner Ian Wright, Wenger will end up staying as Arsenal manager even if he fails to win any trophy this season, simply because the French tactician doubles the club owner’s money.
Wright spoke to BT Sport after Arsenal’s 5-0 victory over Lincoln City in the FA Cup quarterfinals, and addressed the vibe of uncertainty that currently surrounds the North London club.
“Everybody is waiting for something to happen and nothing is happening,” he said (via Mirror).
“If he is going to stay and then there is going to be a massive ‘get out’ or whatever is going to happen in the summer, let the fans know something because there is a kind of limbo vibe going around arsenal at the moment.

“What is going on with the manager? What’s going on with Sanchez? Who is singing contracts? Are they going to stay? You’re looking at Sanchez, right now, is he going to stay? Ozil, if the boss goes, is he going to go? Ozil, if the boss goes, he’s going to go. Oxlade-Chamberlain wants to leave, who else wants to leave?”
Wright also expressed his own prediction regarding Wenger’s future at the Emirates, and stated (via The Sun): “We found out there’s a two-year contract on the table a month or two months ago. He always sees his contracts out and signs a new one and I can’t see what will be different this time.
“Why would Kroenke sack a person who can double his money? It doesn’t seem like they’re worried about if Wenger wins the Champions League as long as he qualifies… if he wins the league as long as he’s in the top four.”
