Napoli star Dries Mertens is looking to secure a ‘dream move’ to the Premier League, according to reports.
Dries Mertens has been in superb form since he was moved from the wings to a more central striking position, and he has already bagged 24 goals and 6 assists in all competitions for the Serie A club this season. Naturally, his form in front of goal has turned him into one of the most in-demand forwards in Europe.
Furthermore, with the Belgium international’s current contract with Napoli expiring in 2018, and with his refusal to commit his future to the club by signing a new contract, the interested parties currently in pursuit of his services have received an enormous boost.

Italian giants Inter Milan are believed to be highly interested in his services, with some initial rumours dubbing the San Siro outfit as the frontrunners in the race for his signature. However, as per latest reports from hln.be, Mertens wants to secure a transfer away from the Serie A altogether in the summer, so as to secure a dream move to the Premier League.
According to Italian news outlet Il Mattino, the 29-year-old held secret talks with Manchester United earlier this week, due to the fact that Jose Mourinho is keen to bolster the Red Devils’ attack by signing the reigning Belgian Player of the Year.
And with West Ham United as well as Newcastle United also rumoured to be in the race for his signature, Mertens may very well end up playing in England next season.
