Ander Herrera Admits Fears Over David De Gea’s Future At Manchester United
Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has admitted that David De Gea could end up leaving the Red Devils in the summer.
Both Ander Herrera and David De Gea have been enjoying a solid season at the Old Trafford outfit under Jose Mourinho’s management, thanks to which the duo has been called up on international duty for Spain’s upcoming matches.
However, speculation continues to surround De Gea’s future at Manchester United, with reports claiming La Liga giants Real Madrid will once again make an attempt to sign the goalkeeper this summer, despite having failed to get the deal done in the 2015 summer window.
The Los Blancos almost signed the Spaniard in a £29 million deal two years ago, but the transfer failed to materialise on the deadline day due to a broken fax machine.

De Gea has since signed a new contract worth £200,000-a-week at the Theatre of Dreams that will last until 2019, but whether he will remain in Manchester for next season still remains to be seen.
Ander Herrera was recently asked about his 26-year-old teammate’s future by Jugones, to which he replied (via Daily Mail): “I tried not to bring up the De Gea to Real Madrid topic. It’s difficult for him to one day be at one place, and then to be at another the next.
“He learned a lot from this. It has made him more mature. I want him to be the one defending Manchester United’s goal. Hopefully it will be like that, but anything can happen in football.”
