Real Madrid Prepare Transfer Shortlist Of Nine Strikers
Real Madrid scouts have handed president Florentino Perez a list of nine strikers to target this summer and according to reports Manchester United youngster Marcus Rashford has emerged as a surprising candidate on that list.
The La Liga giants are desperate to bring in more firepower up front ahead of next season, with Madrid planning for life beyond Cristiano Ronaldo. Their celebrated front three including Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale, forming the ‘BBC’, could be awaiting a shake-up.
Alvaro Morata’s future is also uncertain amid interest from Chelsea, and alternatives are already being identified.
Monaco’s raw talent Kylian Mbappe is very much on Zinedine Zidane’s wishlist but his price-tag is proving a difficult one to secure the deal. It seems Real Madrid would have to break the world-record to land the 18-year-old Frenchman, although according to Spanish outlet Diario Gol, Mbappe has Ronaldo’s approval.

Along with Mbappe, the Bernabeu superstar also backs a move for Porto’s Andre Silva. But Madrid reportedly have seven other options those are being evaluated. Perez doesn’t want to take any final calls without Zidane’s clearance, and Ronaldo also wants his opinions to be heard.
Diario Gol further claim Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford is another shock name on Madrid’s radar. The 19-year-old Englishman quickly rose up through the ranks at Old Trafford, but game time has been limited under Jose Mourinho.
He has only 11 Premier League starts this season because of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Anthony Martial’s presence, scoring just three times. However, his displays have attracted the attention of Madrid scouts, meaning they are keeping tabs on the United forward among others.
Along with Mbappe, Silva and Rashford on the nine-man list, Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ousmane Dembele and Celtic’s Moussa Dembele are also being watched.
There is a young theme to Madrid’s striker targets, with Ajax’s Kasper Dolberg, RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner and Torino’s Andrea Belotti also potential candidates.
