Luke Shaw’s Future Concerns Increase As Mourinho Targets New Left-Back
Luke Shaw, a player who burst into the Premier League as one of the best young left-backs in the world, fittingly joined Manchester United to increase his playing abilities and potential and fulfil the career many predicted for him.
However, that seems to have taken a turn for the ugly as far as the player is concerned, as he becomes increasingly frustrated by being left on the bench day in day out by current manager Jose Mourinho.
Shaw suffered a horrific injury while playing under Louis Van Gaal, which kept him out for months, and despite recovering, he has found it tough to crawl back into the pick of things at Old Trafford.
Matters worsened when Mourinho recently spoke about the England international in a conference, and the manager did not hold back in criticising the lack of training efforts put up by the player, and how such behaviour will not allow him a place back into the star studded United lineup any time soon.

To further add to Shaw’s miseries, The Mirror reported that Mourinho is reportedly after Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney, as he sees the youngster as a long term defender at the Theatre of Dreams. The club is ready to pay up a price around £10m for his services, and this could ensure Shaw’s time at Old Trafford is nearing its inevitable exit.
Tierney is also in the eye of Manchester City and Chelsea, but Mourinho is reportedly a fan of the player, and is keen to win the race to get his signature in the summer.
Tierney is a dedicated professional who lives a healthy lifestyle, traits that are adored by Mourinho.
