Manchester United youngster Timothy Fosu-Mensah is now a wanted man in the Bundesliga.

The 19-year old defender broke into the first team at Old Trafford under the previous manager Louis van Gaal, and was touted as the next big thing at the club. However, he has failed to live up to the hype under Jose Mourinho, and has not been able to get enough chances in the first team.

He has made just three starts in all competitions this season, and has got just one minute of normal time in the Premier League when he came on as a substitute in the 89th minute for his debut under the current manager.

With Mourinho also planning some additions this summer, Fosu-Mensah has very little chance of breaking into the first team anytime soon. And reports from the Bild now claim that he is wanted by German outfit Borussia Monchengladbach.

The Bundesliga club has played a huge role in the development of young Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen, and it is understood that Mourinho is attracted with the offer.

However, it is clear that the Manchester United manager does not want to sell the player, and is only open for a loan. And Monchengladbach have already started negotiating the terms in which the 19-year old can shift clubs this summer on a temporary basis.

Though he has put in some decent performances for United in the past, Fosu-Mensah is still relatively young and deserves some regular game time. He will surely find it hard at Old Trafford, but it is to be seen if he will get enough of it at the Borussia Park next season.

Do you think Timothy Fosu-Mensah should be sent out on loan at the end of the season?
